Arena floors, bosses and reward caps

Arena floors and Junkyard titans are two different systems with two different clocks. Mixing them is why players wait for a boss that is never coming to their floor.

The recording shows BOSS Goa on floor 30 with REWARD $1.94K x2.14. The same player says a boss shows up every ten floors in his run. Separately, the Update 1 notes put the 40-minute spawn rule under Space. That timer belongs to the titan cycle, not to Arena floors.

What a floor actually gives you

Floor 30 is a boss floor in this run. The reward line shows the multiplier the player actually had.

Each floor is a run: enemies, then a reward line that shows Cash and the multiplier you are currently getting. Boss floors add a named boss and a bigger reward line.

The multiplier on the reward line is the honest number: it is what you are getting right now, after your passes and any active event. If a floor pays less than you expect, read that line before you blame the floor.

The two caps that stop a session

The Arena heads-up display: floor number, fight state, and the two exit buttons.

Both caps are new in Update 1 and both change how long a session is worth.

  • Scrap is capped at 25K per drop. x2 Drops and Arena Frenzy can push past that ceiling, which is why those two purchases matter to anyone farming Scrap in Arena.
  • Cash limit grows with floors, and grows faster once you are past floor 300. Below that, the limit rises slowly enough that long sessions feel flat.

Hitting a cap is not a bug and not the end of the run. The Scrap cap applies to a single drop: the next floor you clear can pay Scrap again. Read it as a ceiling per reward, not a daily limit.

Why a x52 line did not pay 400m

A player asked why the panel showed 8m x52 in Arena and his balance did not move by 400m. We could not reproduce his account, so here is what to check instead of a verdict.

  • Read the reward line, not the multiplier badge. The badge can describe a bonus that applies to a different base.
  • Check which purchases you own. Update 1 changed x2 Money, Money Potion, x2 Drops and Black Hole Money to multiply your total Cash rather than a base value, so a build with those items behaves differently from an old video.
  • Check the caps. If Scrap or Cash was already at the ceiling for that floor, the extra does not land.

If the balance still does not move after all three, it is worth reporting in the game's Discord rather than assuming a formula.

Diagnose which floor is actually blocking you

  1. Did you die, or did the timer run out? Dying points at HP and defence; timing out points at damage.
  2. Open the robot panel. Compare the part in your weakest slot against a candidate you could buy. If the slot is a torso, the shield number is the one that matters.
  3. Check the level cap. A robot at cap cannot convert Scrap into strength, which is a rebirth problem, not a floor problem.
  4. Check the caps. If your Scrap is pinned at 25K per drop, more Arena time will not help; switch to Junkyard or an event.
  5. Only then change the build. Buying parts before step 2 is how players spend Cash on a floor they could already beat.

If a boss floor keeps ending the run

TELEPORT and RETREAT exist for this. Retreating keeps the run you have; pushing again with the same robot usually repeats the same death. If the boss kills you in one hit, defence and HP in the torso slot is the lever, not damage in the arms.

What we could not verify

  • The full boss roster and which floors carry one. We have floor 30 and one player's "every ten floors" claim.
  • Enemy HP and damage curves per floor.
  • Whether the 40-minute titan cycle and Arena bosses share any timer at all.
