Steel Fighters Guide

Guide

Which Steel Fighters machine changes what

Five machines on your plot all look like they make the robot better, and each one changes something completely different. Pick by what you want to change: the whole robot, one part, one stat line, or the parts economy.

The map of machines

Machine What it changes What it costs
Fusion Lab Turns two robots into fuel for a third Unlock fee, then a Cash fee per fusion
Reforger One part's bonus Cash per attempt, or Golden Hammer
Reroll Stats All stat lines on one robot Golden Dice, or Cash reroll
Star Machine Robot stats via Stars Stars
Black Hole Feeds parts, returns rewards Parts

Permanent upgrades, the ones with tiers, are a separate system and live on their own page.

Fusion: the order you select is the result

Selection order is the result: first robot keeps, the other two are consumed.

Fusion keeps the first robot you select as the target and consumes the other two. The selection screen says the fuel robots are used up, so this is a destructive operation with an irreversible order.

  • Select the robot you want to keep first.
  • Pick the two you are willing to lose.
  • Check the preview before confirming; a recorded attempt charged 1,200 Cash for a modest gain.

Two public figures exist for unlocking the lab: a creator says 10,000 Cash, and the shop also sells a Fusion Lab Unlock for 19 Robux. Both routes may exist; check your own panel before assuming the cheaper one is available to you.

What fusion multiplies by is not published. Players say the target absorbs a share of the fuel robots' stats, but no rate is confirmed by the developer, so do not plan a build around a number you read in a comment.

Reforge: one part, a range, and a guaranteed option

Reforge rolls inside the range printed on the screen, not inside a hidden curve.

Reforge changes a single part's bonus and rolls inside a range the screen shows as -20% to +20%. Negative results are real.

That is why Golden Hammer exists: 49 Robux guarantees +20% on one part instead of gambling. If the part is one you will keep for several rebirths, the hammer is the predictable route; if the part is temporary, the cheaper roll is fine.

The lab unlock has the same two-source pattern as fusion: a creator reads 100,000 Cash, the shop sells Reforger Unlock at 99 Robux.

Reroll Stats and Golden Dice

Reroll Stats rerolls the robot's stat lines, and the author of one recorded run watched a high-value stat go down while another went up for 23,000 Cash. That is the risk: a reroll is not an improvement, it is a re-draw.

Golden Dice removes the gamble for one robot: 49 Robux sets every stat of that robot to +20%, guaranteed, and it is used from the Reroll Stats screen. Save it for a robot you are keeping, not the one you will fuse away next session.

Star Machine and Black Hole

The Star Machine spends Stars to add a stat boost to a robot. Stars come from buying them directly (10 Stars for 99 Robux) and from dismantling robots. Players report the Star Machine can also produce a bad outcome; the interface we have does not show the odds, so treat it as random until you see otherwise.

The Black Hole takes robot parts as fuel and returns rewards. Update 1 set its buffs to 15 minutes, and changed Black Hole Money to multiply your total Cash rather than a base value.

Pick the right machine in four questions

  1. Do you want to keep the robot? If no, do not put a Golden Dice or a Golden Hammer into it.
  2. Is the problem the whole robot or one part? Whole robot: reroll stats or fuse. One part: reforge.
  3. Can you accept a negative result? If not, use the guaranteed item and skip the roll.
  4. Are you short of parts, not stats? Then the Black Hole and the lever wall matter more than any of the four machines above.

If you regret a roll

Reforge and reroll both replace the previous value; there is no undo listed in the shop. The only recovery is to roll again, which costs the same as the first time. That is the argument for putting guaranteed items on your keeper robot and gambling only on parts you would replace anyway.

What we could not verify

  • The fusion absorption rate. The 8% figure in circulation is a player claim, not a developer statement.
  • Reforge odds inside the -20% to +20% range.
  • Whether the Star Machine can lower a stat, and at what rate.
  • Whether the 10,000 Cash and 19 Robux lab unlocks are alternatives or apply to different labs.
